1. Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
2. Candidates are advised to have a valid and active personal e-mail ID & mobile number till the completion of selection process. No change in the email id and mobile number will be allowed once registered. NPCIL will send intimation only through the registered E-mail ID and SMS will also be sent to the mobile number given by the candidate. If the mobile number registered by the candidate is in the TRAI NCPR list (formerly called DND), candidate will not receive SMS alerts related to the registration.
3. The cut off date for reckoning the Maximum Age Limit is the last date of submission of online application for apprenticeship training i.e. 21th January, 2020 at 1600 hrs.
4. The minimum age of the applicants as on 21th January, 2020 should not be below 16 years for all andidates and maximum age upto 24 years for General candidates. Relaxation upto 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC and 10 years for PwBD candidates would be given as per the Govt. of India Directives.
5. Govt. of India orders on reservation of SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD as applicable for engagement of apprentices shall be followed.
6. The candidates should possess the required physical standard as below :
Height 137 cm
Weight 25.4 Kg
Chest measurement Expansion should not be less than 3.8. cms (Irrespective of size of chest).
Vision There should be no evidence of any morbid condition of either eye and the lids of either eyes which may be liable to risk or aggravation or recurrence.
7. The candidates will be short listed for training on the basis of marks obtained in their ITI standard/course.
8. The candidate shall be engaged after qualifying the standard medical examination.
9. Apprentice shall be paid stipend as follows :
  1. 90% of the minimum wage for semi-skilled worker notified by the Govt,. of Maharashtra, if he/she had undergone 2 years ITI training course.
  2. 80% of the minimum wage for semi-skilled worker by the Govt. of Maharashtra, if he/she had undergone 1 year ITI training course.
10. Placement of training shall be Tarapur Maharshtra Site, Tarapur Atomic Power Station, PO: TAPP via Boisar (W/Rly), Tal & District – Palghar 401504.
11. The engagement and training is strictly in compliance with the provisions of Apprentices Act, 1961 and apprenticeship Rules, 1992 and there is no obligation to provide regular Employment on completion of apprenticeship training.
12. Management reserves the right to cancel or alter the number of seats of particular trade or even the entire process of engagement of apprentices without assigning any reason whatsoever.
13. The period of Apprentice training will be for one year only.
14. The selected candidate has to produce a Police Verification Certificate from the District Police Authority.
15. Candidates selected for apprenticeship will not be allowed to withdraw from training, except for reasons, which are beyond their control. The person engaged to undergo apprentice training in a designated trade shall enter into a contract of apprenticeship with NPCIL as per the Apprentice Act, 1961 and Apprenticeship rules 1992. The contract of apprenticeship shall terminate on the expiry of the period of apprenticeship training. Any premature or extension of contract of apprenticeship shall be dealt as per the provisions of the Apprentices Act, 1961 and Apprenticeship rules 1992. Those who absent from traineeship are liable to refund the whole cost of their training as well as the amount received as stipend as determined by the Central Apprenticeship Advisor.
16. Every Apprentice who has completed the period of training will have to undergo a test to be conducted by the National Council for Training in Vocational trade to determine his/her proficiency in the designated trade. Only on passing the test, a certificate of Proficiency in the trade would be issued by the National Council.
17. There is no provision for providing Hostel facility or any other form of residential accommodation to the apprentices.
18. Each candidate is required to submit only one application form and apply against not more than one trade, irrespective of number of trades eligible for.
19. Preference will be given to the applicants belonging to neighboring villages around TAPS Plant Site.
20. Before submitting the online application form for apprenticeship, the candidates must ensure that they fulfill all the required eligibility criteria for the apprenticeship for which they are applying as detailed for the respective discipline. If the candidates are not eligible, their candidature will be cancelled at any stage. If the candidates engaged for apprenticeship and subsequently, it is found that they do not fulfill the eligibility criteria, their candidature will be cancelled and apprenticeship will be terminated without any notice or compensation.
21. All candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD category shall produce self attested copy of the caste certificate in the prescribed 'Central Government' format from the Competent Authority empowered to issue such certificates along with originals for verification. OBC candidates with certificate having the "Non-Creamy Layer Clause" will only be eligible for reservation as per Government of India orders if the caste mentioned in caste certificate appears in the Central List.
22. The OBC candidates who belong to "Creamy layer" are not entitled for concession admissible to OBC (NCL) category and such applicants should indicate their category as UR only.
23. Economically Weaker Sections (EWSs) candidates should produce certificate from the Competent Authority empowered to issue such certificate in prescribed format.
24. The following documents (original for verification and a self attested copy for record) along with the hard copy of the Online Application are required to be produced at the time of reporting for medical examination/apprenticeship training :
  1. Certificate - Date of Birth ( SSLC / SSC )
  2. Certificate/s – SSC/HSC certificate.
  3. ITI Passed marksheets of all Semesters.
  4. Copy of the Aadhar Card
  5. Certificate - SC/ST (if applicable)
  6. Certificate - OBC (non creamy layer) (if applicable).
  7. Certificate - EWS (if applicable)
  8. Certificate - PwBD (if applicable).
  9. Conduct Certificate issued by the concerned Institution
25. At any stage of this process or joining, if any of the following is detected, the said applicant will be liable to be disqualified, prosecuted and debarred for apprenticeship in NPCIL and applicant’s application / apprenticeship training shall be rejected forthwith and NPCIL will not entertain any correspondence on the issue.
If the applicant :
  1. Has provided false information or submitted false documents or
  2. Has suppressed relevant information or
  3. Does not meet the eligibility criteria prescribed for the apprenticeship training or
  4. If found guilty of impersonation or
  5. Has uploaded non-human or irrelevant photograph
26. Any kind of queries/RTIs/records of non merit candidates for engagement of apprenticeship training will be entertained only within six months from the date of final merit. Thereafter, no such request shall be entertained.
27. In case of any dispute, legal jurisdiction will be Dist. Palghar, Maharashtra.
28. For any clarification/queries, candidates may refer the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) Section and online queries system.

  1. NPCIL is not responsible for any discrepancy in submitting details ONLINE. The candidates are therefore, advised to strictly follow the instructions.
  2. The particulars furnished by the candidates in the Application form for the apprenticeship training shall be taken as Final and further process of the application will be based on these particulars only.
  3. Before uploading/submission of Application form, the candidates should be cautious and ensure the eligibility to apply for the apprenticeship. No relevant column of the application form should be left blank.
