Q. 1 Where should I send print out of Online Application form?
Ans. Print out of Online Application form is NOT TO BE SENT. Only candidates shortlisted for written test/interview are required to carry with them the printout of ‘Online Application Form’ along with other essential documents mentioned in the advertisement while appearing for written test/skill test/interview.
Q. 2 Should I send the copies of certificates/documents regarding my qualification, caste, disablement etc?
Ans. DO NOT SEND any documents to NPCIL/TMS
Q. 3 In my Diploma Course, only CGPA/GPA/SGPA or letter grade has been awarded in place of percentage of marks. Can I enter the grade in my application?
Ans. Applicants, who have been awarded CGPA/GPA/SGPA or letter grades, should follow the conversion table of the Institute/College/University from wherever they have passed. Applicants called for written test/interview will be required to produce the authenticated conversion table from the Institute/College/University. If not, standard formula provided by AICTE will be applied to derive the percentage of marks.
Q. 4 I have appeared for my final Semester/Year Examinations and the results are yet to be announced. Am I eligible to apply?
Ans. No, Final Year appearing/result awaited candidates are not eligible to apply; as you have to declare final %age of marks. A candidate should have completed his/her degree/ITI/Diploma as on last date of application. If final marks sheet/certificate issuing date is on or before the last date of receipt of Online Application Form, then only it can be accepted.
Q. 5 I have submitted my application online, but have forgotten the Registration Number and also did not take a print out of the ‘Online Application Form’. What do I do?
Ans. You may check your e-mail. After registration, an e-mail will be sent to each applicant along with the registration number and name. ‘Online Application Form’ will be required at the time of written test/skill test/Interview only, if shortlisted for the same.
Q. 6 How can I check the status of my application?
Ans. You can click "Applicant's Login" menu and check the status of your application on this website by entering your relevant details.
Q. 7 I am a SC/ST/OBC/EWS Applicant but don't have the caste certificate. Can I apply as a General Applicant?
Ans. If you so desire, you may apply stating your category as "General", if eligible for General category. In such an event, your candidature will be considered as "GENERAL" and no change in category shall be allowed at a later date. No relaxation/concessions will be applicable to you.
Q. 8 I am working in a Government/Public Sector Company. Should I enclose an NOC from my employer while appearing for interview?
Ans. Shortlisted applicants working in Central/State Government/PSUs/Aided Institutions should bring "No Objection Certificate" from the organisation without which they will not be allowed to appear for the written test/skill test/ interview.
Q. 9 I have not received the activation email when I completed my registration. Why?
Ans. The activation email could have been delivered to the spam/junk folder of your email account. So please check in these folders.
Q. 10 I have not received any SMS when I completed my registration. Why?
Ans. If the mobile number you have registered is in the TRAI NCPR list (formerly called DND), you will not receive SMS alerts related to the registration. If you want to receive future SMS alerts from NPCIL related to recruitment , please remove your mobile number from the NCPR list through your service provider.
Q. 11 I have forgotten/lost my Login Id/User Name.
Ans. Login Id has been provided in the email, which was sent after the online registration. You can also retrieve Login Id/User Name using link "FORGOT USERNAME".
Q. 12 I have forgotten/lost my password.
Ans. Password can be reset using link “FORGOT PASSWORD”.
Q. 13 The scanned signature and photograph should be sent separately?
Ans. No. It should be uploaded at the time of filling online application.
Q. 14 I am a fresher. Can I apply?
Ans. Yes. Provided you otherwise fulfil the criteria laid down in the detailed advertisement.
Q. 15 How does NPCIL distinguish between Creamy Layer and Non Creamy Layer?
Ans. The OBC (Non Creamy Layer) applicants are required to submit requisite certificate in prescribed format of Government of India, from a Competent Authority issued on or after 01.04.2019.
Q. 16 Will any legal action be taken in case of submission of fake documents?
Ans. Yes. Candidate will be debarred for employment in government services.
Q. 17 I almost filled up my form but then my computer crashed. Can I fill this application form again?
Ans. Yes. You have to log in again and resume filling the form provided you have saved draft application form. If not saved, you have to fill up the form again.
Q. 18 Can I use different mobile numbers while filling up form?
Ans. Candidate is requested to mention only one active mobile number in the application form. SMSs shall be sent to this number only.
Q. 19 Under which category will PwBD candidate be treated?
Ans. A PwBD candidate will be considered under his/her own category viz General/SC/ST/OBC/EWS
Q. 20 I have done my Diploma from a reputed institute, am I eligible for applying?
Ans. Please refer ‘Eligibility Criteria’ mentioned under Para 4 of the detailed advertisement.
Q. 21 I am a diabetic/BP patient. If I clear personal interview, will I become unfit for the job?
Ans. The appointment of the selected candidate will be subject to she/he being found Medically Fit by the Authorised Medical Officer of NPCIL.
Q. 22 In case of overnight halt during written test/interview, will the company borne all the expenses?
Ans. No. Candidate has to make his/her own arrangement and at own expenses.
Q. 23 How much time will be taken to declare results for the final shortlisted students selected for training?
Ans. Final merit list of candidates will be prepared based on number of vacancies and the marks scored in written test/ Personal Interview. List of empanelled (selected) andidates will be displayed on the recruitment website of NPCIL.
Q. 24 Will any travel expenses paid to me for attending the Written Test?
Ans. SC/ST outstation candidates called for written examination/interview will be paid to & fro travelling allowance of second class railway fare by the shortest route (subject to production of tickets) as per rules. However, travelling allowance is not admissible to those SC/ST candidates who are already in Central/State Government services, Central/State Government Corporation, Public Sector Undertakings, Local Government Institutions and Panchayats and to those who have availed concession from Railways, if any, for undertaking journey for attending written examination/interview.
Q. 25 How much time will be taken to refund the TA availed during written test?
Ans. Same day.
Q. 26 Can a candidate choose his/her mother tongue for interview?
Ans. Candidates appearing for interview will have choice of answering the questions either in Hindi or English
Q. 27 I had uploaded my signature but I am not able to view it in the application form submitted online.
Ans. The Signature will not be printed on application form. You have to bring duly signed print out of the online application form at the time of interview, if called for.
Q. 28 I have filled in online application. Is there any chance of my application not being considered?
Ans. Correctly filled-in applications of candidates meeting the eligibility criteria of the post applied for, will not be normally rejected. However, to avoid rejection of application, candidate should ensure that: (i) Multiple applications with same details are not filled in, (ii) Only proper information is entered in the online application.
