II. Relaxation in Maximum Age Limit

Note Additional relaxation in prescribed age limit commensurate with experience of working with NPCIL on Contract and who are possessing experience of working with NPCIL, subject to maximum of 5 years.
Upper age limit as prescribed in the advertisement shall not be applicable to regular employees already serving in NPCIL.
Driver-cum-Pump Operator-cum-Fireman/A – Maximum 5 years relaxation in upper age limit will be allowed in the case of candidates with longer experience and outstanding merit. Five years experience in Fire Fighting field is required for getting the advantage of 05 years relaxation in upper age.

IV. Requirement of Essential Physical Standards (Height & Weight)

V. Essential Qualifications & Experience

  1. SSC (10 years) with minimum 50% in Science subject and Mathematics individually and 2 years ITI certificate in relevant trade (Electrician, Fitter, Electronics, Instrumentation, Machinist, Turner & Welder).
  2. For trades for which the duration of the ITI course is less than 2 years, the candidates shall have at least one year relevant working experience after completion of the course.
  3. Shall have English as one of the subjects at least at SSC level examination.
3. Driver-cum-Pump Operator-cum-Fireman-A
  1. H.S.C.(10+2) (Science with Chemistry) or equivalent with minimum 50% of marks+ valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License with minimum one year driving experience + Certificate Course in Fire Fighting equipment such as Fire Extinguisher etc. from the State Fire Training Centres.

Important to Note:

  1. All the prescribed essential qualifications should only be of full time, regular and from recognized University/Institution. Qualification acquired through distance learning, part time, private, open schooling/NIOS etc. will not be considered in any case.
  2. Only prescribed trades mentioned against the post shall be considered, any other equivalent trade shall not be considered e.g. ITI in Electronics Trade will not be considered equivalent to Instrumentation trade.
  3. The certificate course in Fire Fighting Equipment prescribed for the post of Driver-cum-Pump Operator-cum-Fireman-A should only be from State Fire Training Centres.
  4. Certificate course in Fire Fighting Equipment other than State Fire Training Centres, Diploma Certificate, Sub-Officer course or any other higher qualification without having minimum essential qualification will not be considered.
  5. Minimum qualification prescribed for recruitment as mentioned above has to be fulfilled. Any other qualification including higher qualification over and above the minimum qualification will not disqualify the candidate to appear in written examination for all the advertised posts.
