III. RESERVATION FOR PwBDs (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities)

Note :
  1. PwBDs under category (d) and (e) may be considered subject to fulfilling all other criteria and the candidate being found suitable for performing the job assigned to the post.
  2. The PwBDs appointed will be adjusted against the vacancy of respective categories viz Unreserved (UR) / SC / ST / OBC / EWS.
  3. The candidates are required to submit a Disability Certificate issued by a certifying authority, failing which their candidature as PwBD candidates will not be considered.
  4. Only such persons, who suffer from not less than 40% of relevant Disability will be eligible to be considered under PwBD.
  5. Within the overall total vacancies (i.e. 200), PwBD candidates belonging to any category of disability may be considered for selection, subject to their suitability, over and above the vacancies notified for PwBD (i.e. 8), to clear backlog of PwBD vacancies in Group ‘A’ posts.

NOTE :
  1. BE / B-Tech / BSc (Engineering) / 5 year Integrated M-Tech with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in one of the 6 engineering disciplines mentioned in the Table above from a recognized University / Deemed University or Institute recognized by AICTE / UGC. Applicants must have a valid GATE-2017 or GATE-2018 or GATE-2019 Score in the same engineering discipline as the qualifying degree discipline. A minimum of 60% marks means the marks as per the ordinances of the respective university”.
  2. Candidates who have done 5 years integrated course leading to ME / M-Tech with a minimum of 60% marks in the relevant discipline may also apply subject to fulfilling other laid down criteria.
  3. Only the above mentioned disciplines will be considered. Courses / Disciplines with equivalence to the above will not be considered.
  4. Applicants must have a valid GATE 2017 / GATE 2018 / GATE-2019 scores in the same engineering discipline as the qualifying degree discipline.
  5. Applicants whose final results are awaited and / or are appearing for the final year / semester examination during 2019, but are otherwise eligible, may also apply. If selected, they will be required to submit the final result indicating completion of degree and percentage of marks (not less than 60%) on or before 30th November, 2019.

NOTE :
  1. For applicants eligible for age relaxation in more than one category, cumulative age relaxation available is subject to a maximum of 56 years.
  2. There is no age limit for employees serving in NPCIL who otherwise fulfil the prescribed criteria.
  3. If there are no posts reserved for reserved category; reserved category applicants can apply against unreserved posts; provided they meet all the criteria prescribed for unreserved applicants. They will not be considered for any relaxation/concession at any stage in the entire recruitment process.
